Outi Välimaa
”After fifteen years of mission
work, I found myself crying at a Taiwanese airport and
asking myself if this was truly the end of my career as
a missionary? God answered me during the flight: ”Flying
back to Finland does not mean giving up your calling.
Be patient.” In 2002 I visited Kenya for the first time,
and Hope for Tomorrow was born. Once again, my family
and I were out in the world spreading the gospel. At this
time I also started receiving invitations to preach around
Finland. In the fall of 2009 I felt God urging me to give
up my teaching career.”
Outi Välimaa is the executive director
of the Hope for Tomorrow organization. She coordinates
group missions to Africa and Asia. Outi preaches the
Gospel and prays for people at Churches and Christian
gatherings all across Finland. Her heart is set on bringing
new followers to Christ. She is focused on growth as
a disciple, the challenges of mission work, the connection
between fellow Christians, and a life in guidance of
the Holy Spirit. Outi has been especially invited to
speak at evangelical gatherings as well as get-togethers
for women.
