Heikki's and Maria's greetings
from Mombasa
May 24, 2005
Only ONE more week left
in Mombasa! Almost hard to believe...but we're
coming back to Finland all right!
It feels like the time
has come for us to digest all that we've got from
here. Last autumn in a dream that I saw, Heikki
and I were carrying on our backs big loads of
food sacks filled with strong meat. That's what
it really feels like. Spiritually we have been
abundantly nourished, even though physically we
have both lost some weight - but that is subject
to change after a few nice barbeques around the
campfire. :)
These last weeks have been
really busy. We spent long afternoons in school
and finished up on the last courses and exams.
We want to get the most out of the time we got
left - especially from the JCC meetings. This
week we wake up every morning at four to go to
the morning service with Pia and Kirsi; it lasts
to about six in the morning. :) Pastor Lai will
be preaching. Nothing beats praising God in the
morning!
Our cellgroup in Chaani
put together a goodbye-party for us - that was
really nice. The ladies cooked some good food
and we got to hear encouraging testimonies. They
have all been so good to us. We will all miss
each other very much. :) We'll miss our JCC-Church
(that is so alive) as well as our pastor Wilfred
Lai. But we know this won't be the last that Mombasa
has seen of us! :)
We'll tell you more about
our thoughts and feelings after settling down
in Finland for a while.
June 12th, which is a Sunday,
Hope for Tomorrow will celebrate its second year
anniversary in Orivesi. We'll be there to talk
with you. Until then we will have been 'digesting'
everything for ten days. :)
We'll see you soon...and
we love you! Thanks for praying for us!!! Thanks
be to the Lord Jesus Christ. May His love surround
us and bind us together in a mighty way. Praises
to Him!
Blessings, Heikki and Maria
