Word Explosion Pastors' and Spiritual Leaders' Conference

The Word Explosion Conference, hosted by Jesus Celebration Centre Mombasa annually in the beginning of December kicked off today. I had a chance to attend two sessions. Here are some excerpts from Dr. Wilfred Lai's teaching.

Luke 11: 21-28
Isaiah 60
(and the glory being a consuming fire in Exodus 24: 15-18)

- Africa is no longer a dark continent because the light of God is here and the Word of God is being preached and revival is spreading.
- I'm talking about hearing the voice of Jehovah and believing it is true.
- If you are sick, the power of God is always present to heal you, but you must see it for it to do so… that's what faith is all about, seeing the invisible.
- We are the greatest enemies of ourselves, we speak against our destinies… we say, poor me… Do you know what you are doing? You are rooting yourself in it!
- Isaiah says: 'the world is covered with darkness, but the Lord rises, He is above all this darkness.'
- Let me tell you, when a strong light is beamed in a dark place the darkness ceases to be. The light of God arises over you. The countenance of the Lord is like a powerful welding torch; a consuming fire, it shines over his people.
- The light of God is not like the light of the sun, there is no day or night in heaven, the light of God lights up the whole place.
- When Moses was on Mount Sinai, he had no night or day. When he walked out of that place his face shone with the same intensity. The children of Israel could not look at him.
- Say: 'the glory of the Lord is upon me, the glory of the Lord has risen over me.'
- We live in the world but are not of the world. There is no middle ground, do not be lukewarm, be hot for Jesus.

Matthew 6: 22-23
- Your eyes are the light of your body.
- He who has saved you is able to: SAVE, KEEP, and SATISFY you.

In the evening Dr. Lai continued with:
- I didn't just come to preach tonight, I came to change your mind.
Isaiah 57: 13-15

Three things that keep people where they are:
1. removing eyes from the power source - prayerlessness
2. spirit of pride
3. spirit of unbelief
