Mikko in Mombasa
January 8, 2006
Christmas went and we're
well in the new year.
The fever has gone down
already. On Wednesday I could barely get out of
bed. Now it's Sunday, the last day of antimalarials
and antibiotics. Fortunately the Zion Clinic is
close enough in Mtwapa and provided help. As I
lay in bed and the fever and headache allowed,
I had a chance to read some books and a letter
written by a good friend some time back.
Somehow we managed to finish
our work in December at Camp David. The week between
Christmas and New Year's I was almost home alone
and spent several days sick with a cold. Before
new year's eve I got well enough to go check out
the JCC new year's eve event, Dr. Lai introduced
a five-year plan with the target of half a million
people praying for half a billion souls around
the world.
Camp David Centre activities
officially continue tomorrow. We've been closed
for the holidays, but there's been work that has
had to be done nonetheless. This week will decide
the path taken for a solution in the conflict
between people involved in the project. I hope
for forgiveness and peace as well as a clear direction
onward.
