Mikko in Mombasa

September 11, 2005

Pastor Ron Gibson at the Jesus Celebration Centre (JCC) Mombasa West Big Crusade on Saturday and Sunday morning service

A week after our Youth Mission JCC organized a big outdoor meeting at Chaani Primary School. When JCC brings their sound system to the school field the message is clear not only to those on the field, but to the whole area, including Camp David Centre a kilometer away.

Nine of the youth who had attended our Youth Mission came for the Saturday evening meeting. Led by evangelist Esau, they attended to youth making a commitment to Christ at the meeting.

Pastor Ron Gibson came to Mombasa from Riverside Life Church in California. While preaching he referred to JCC Pastor Wilfred Lai by saying: "…before I came here I thought I was Mr. Big Stuff…" Pastor Ron Gibson's church seats over 10,000 people, Pastor Lai is building a 30,000 seater sanctuary in Mombasa.

Ron Gibson spoke according to the following scriptures:

Genesis 1: 26-28
Proverbs 19: 21
Luke 1: 26-27

- A car is created to operate on gasoline; we are created to operate in the Spirit of God.

The next day he reminded the congregation:

- Anytime God gives a you a vision, he makes provision as long as there is no division.
- In order to be great in the kingdom you must become a servant.
