Mikko in Mombasa

April 15, 2005

Accounting rocks

It was time to remove the receipts from the spike and put them into envelopes. I went outside to find some rocks to hold down the pile of receipts so they wouldn't fly around the office with an occasional burst of wind. And there I was organizing the receipts and accounts. Improvement was needed - a description written on the receipts will have to be written more carefully to be able to tell what the squiggles actually mean. After some teamwork everything was clarified.

The gardener was laughing and having a good time when I asked him to get more rocks to the office. "Nooo, Mikko..." and shaking his head... "Bring rocks from outside?" I even asked him to wash them; his smile got even larger and the laugh continued. In no time at all the damp rocks were in the corner waiting to get on the desk.
