Mikko in Mombasa

Taken from Pastor Charles Kwake's
sermon, in the JCC Bamburi tent
Mark 10:46-52 (NKJV)
"46 Now they came to Jericho. As He went out
of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude,
blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the
road begging. 47 And when he heard that it was
Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say,
"Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" 48 Then
many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out
all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"
49 So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be
called. Then they called the blind man, saying
to him, "Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling
you." 50 And throwing aside his garment, he rose
and came to Jesus. 51 So Jesus answered and said
to him, "What do you want Me to do for you?" The
blind man said to Him, "Rabboni, that I may receive
my sight." 52 Then Jesus said to him, "Go your
way; your faith has made you well." And immediately
he received his sight and followed Jesus on the
road."
Blind Bartimaeus stepped
out. Eventhough he was told to bequiet, he shouted.
He knew what he wanted.
Ephesians 1: 16-21 (NKJV)
"16 making mention of you in my prayers:
17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the
Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of
wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,
18 the eyes of your understanding[a] being enlightened;
that you may know what is the hope of His calling,
what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance
in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness
of His power toward us who believe, according
to the working of His mighty power 20 which He
worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead
and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly
places, 21 far above all principality and power
and might and dominion, and every name that is
named, not only in this age but also in that which
is to come."
