Mikko in Finland
October 29, 2006
The morning sun shined
in through the bus window.
I traveled to Tampere for
a seminar organized by Nokia Missio which was
titled Victory over the Darkness. Agust Olafsson
from Iceland taught at the seminar, he is studying
in the state of Minnesota in the United States.
The day ended up being full of work and fulfilling
as I took turns with the other interpreter interpreting
the speaker up front and furiously translating
powerpoint slides from English to Finnish in a
backroom.
The content of the seminar
was powerful. I can remember these in an instant.
I am holy. I am a temple of God. I am a new creation
in Christ. I am a child of God. I am… there were
so many more of them, straight out of the Bible.
The truth is and stays the same, regardless of
how much the enemy tries to change it or make
us believe something else. It is important to
believe the truth, not lies. Eternal life is now,
not something that begins when we die. We receive
it in Jesus Christ, His Son.
